Module 1: Literature
In this module, there are two activities designed to show students that aspects of multimedia can affect the perspective of how someone views a text, passage, poem, story, or other work of literature.
"Do You See What I See?"- 95 minutes
"Does Soundtrack Matter?- 90 minutes
The activity 'Do You See What I See?' was created to help students learn that people infer and visualize things in different ways. By using the five senses when creating mental imagery, the students can become more in-tuned with a particular piece of text or poetry. It makes the words come alive and engages the students in thinking expressively.
The activity 'Does Soundtrack Matter?" shows students how music or sound has an impact on how they perceive something. Songs have a purpose, to reveal an emotion or tone to the audience who listens to them. The students will ultimately demonstrate how sound adds to the meaning of text.
